I would like to share some of our photo's of my father, Ralph and my mother Mary's, wood carvings. I learned the art of wood carving from my father at an early age of 4. We wintered in Arizona and summered in Colorado, my fathers prefered choice of wood was aspen. Back in the day we had to cut down our own wood, mainly on private land with the permission of the property owner.

 We traveled all over the United States, the only states we nevered made it to was Maine, Alaska and Hawaii. Along the way as a young child I meet so many people interested in my fathers wood carvings. In the late 1960's the company JC Penney's was a customer of my fathers, I even got to meet Mr. JC Penney.

My mother, Mary was my father's painter, along with taking care of me and my siblings she had to do the painting. My sister's learned to paint from my mother.

My father and mother we're married for 42 years, my father passed on in the year 2000 and my mother passed on in the year 2001. To this day in our travels, we see my fathers carvings displayed in some store fronts, also we receive some inquiry's regarding his carving's.
